BlueBRD — Terms of Service

Wear OS Bluetooth scanning utility · Last updated 1 September 2026, 12:31 EDT

What this software is for. BlueBRD is built for internal use, development and testing by Frost IT Solutions. It is not sold, not distributed publicly, and has no user base beyond its own developers. These terms are published openly to meet Google's OAuth publishing requirements.

No warranty

BlueBRD is provided without warranty of any kind, express or implied. It may contain defects, may report inaccurate measurements, and may stop working after an operating system update.

Signal strengths, distance estimates and device classifications are approximations derived from public radio broadcasts. Distance in particular is inferred from signal strength and is frequently wrong — it should be read as relative proximity, never as a measurement.

Tracker identification reports what a device advertises. An Apple manufacturer identifier means an Apple device, not necessarily an AirTag. Absence of a device from the list is not evidence that nothing is present.

Responsible use

Radio scanning is regulated differently in different jurisdictions. Anyone running BlueBRD is responsible for doing so lawfully and for respecting the privacy of others. Observing publicly broadcast identifiers is not an invitation to track people.

Data and accounts

Captured data stays on the device that collected it. Nothing is transmitted to Frost IT Solutions. Where BlueBRD uploads to a Google Drive it does so only at explicit instruction, only into that account, and only using the drive.file scope. See the BlueBRD privacy policy.

Availability

BlueBRD may be changed, broken or withdrawn at any time without notice. No continuity of service is promised.
