TowerSS — Privacy Policy

What this application is for. TowerSS is built for internal use, development and testing by Frost IT Solutions. It is not sold, not distributed publicly, and has no user base beyond its own developers — the data it reads is our own, from our own device. This policy is published openly alongside our other applications to meet Google's OAuth publishing requirements.
TowerSS contains no analytics, no advertising, no tracking and no third-party SDKs. It transmits nothing, to anyone.
What TowerSS reads
It reads the watch's own cellular radio state, as reported by the operating system:
- Serving cell identity, physical cell ID, tracking area code and channel
- Band, bandwidth and network type
- Signal metrics — RSRP, RSRQ, SNR, RSSI, CQI, timing advance
- Network operator name and PLMN code
- The same details for neighbouring cells, where the modem reports them
It reads nothing about calls, messages or data traffic, and it cannot. These are radio measurements, not communications.
Location
TowerSS requests ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION, but does not
record position and does not use satellite location at all.
The permission is required purely because Android gates cell-identity information behind location permission — the operating system treats knowing which cell tower you are attached to as location-adjacent, and refuses to return it otherwise. TowerSS asks for the permission solely to be allowed to read the radio state it displays.
Where the data goes
Nowhere. TowerSS displays cell information on screen and keeps a short in-memory history of towers seen during the current session, so that handovers remain visible. That history is discarded when the application closes.
It writes no files, requests no network permission, and has no upload feature. Nothing is stored and nothing is transmitted.
Google account access
None. TowerSS does not sign in to any account and does not use any Google API.
Retention and deletion
Nothing is retained. Closing the application discards its session history; uninstalling it leaves nothing behind.
